    FEW SHADES OF GRAY

    Location: Kiev
    Status: under implementation
Total area: 50 square meters. m.
    Number of rooms: 2

Design of an apartment in Kiev
As the basis for the design of an apartment for a customer from Kiev, we took the concept of playing contrasts. Dark and light interior elements alternate, focusing on functional areas.

    Redevelopment of one-room apartment
The layout of the premises of the Kiev developer consisted of two rooms: a kitchen of 15 m2. and a bedroom of 18.5 m2. Due to the small area of the premises, we decided to better organize the space and made the design of the apartment taking into account new planning solutions and customer requirements. We expanded the kitchen due to the area of the bedroom and the balcony of the loggia, and the bathroom due to the hallway. In the bedroom, with the help of partitions, a wardrobe was designed. The final layout was as follows: a kitchen-living room of 22 m2, a bedroom of 12 m2 and a wardrobe of 5 m2.

    Functionality in apartment design
The studio combines the kitchen and living area. They are separated from each other by a bar counter. For the visual separation of the interior space, finishing materials are used: in the kitchen – granite and gray decorative plaster, in the living room – parquet board and white plaster. Furniture in the kitchen and hallway – built-in, cabinet, with a tip-on mechanism.
Living room – lounge area with corner sofa and TV. The panel behind the TV is made of a parquet board.

    Design of the recreation room
The wall covering behind the bed is made of parquet, which was used for the floor. The headboard of a modern and comfortable bed is lined with natural leather. On the sides of the bed there are suspended rubber luminaires IKEA, and above the headboard – a picture on a rough canvas. The black-and-white abstraction applied on the wall adorns the space. The partitions of the wardrobe are made of tinted glass.
The bathroom is paved with ceramic granite. The whole wall above the sink is occupied by a large mirror. The vertical orientation of the trim elements visually increases the height of the ceilings.

The overall style of the apartment design for our client from Kiev turned out to be calm and seasoned. The uniformity of the color scheme in the interior design is compensated by the variety of textures in the finish. Despite the small area, the apartment was well organized and functional.
